"I Will Not Sleep Till I Teach Naidu A Lesson"

An emotional Lakshmi Parvathi discusses her agenda

What is your immediate aim?

I will not sleep till I teach Chandrababu Naidu a lesson or two. I know it is not good on my part to say anything at this point of time. I only hope people will not misunderstand me for speaking my mind. They have seen through the political games being played by Naidu. People are in no mood to pardon him. They will teach him a fitting lesson in the coming Lok Sabha elections. Look at the way they ill-treated me.

Why do you feel Naidu has refused your suggestion to make Venkateswara Rao chief minister as a formula for achieving unity in the TDP?

Because he is greedy. If he had not craved power and engineered the coup to oust NTR, he would have accepted the suggestion.

Do you feel the differences between the two TDP groups will widen with the sudden demise of your husband?

You know, NTR made it clear to the world that he was in no mood to pardon Naidu. Till his last breath, he reiterated that the doors are permanently closed for Naidu.

But why did NTR not allow you to take on Naidu directly?

If that is true, then why did NTR encourage me to meet the National Front leaders in Delhi. He left the decision totally to me and I decided to help him in all his endeavours to serve the people.

NTR leaves behind a confused legacy. What will happen now?

No, I don't think so. He believed that people are the right judges. He would have liked to leave the question of who should inherit the legacy to the people.

Will you strive for National Front-Left Front unity to form the 'third force' to fight the Congress and BJP in the coming polls?

I wish to continue the good work of my husband. His hatred towards the Congress is well known to the people of this country. Anyway, wait till February 15. You will have your answer then.
