'There Won't Be Another Shaheen Bagh': BJP's Kapil Mishra Tweets Video

On Wednesday, in another tweet, Mishra targetted his critics, saying, 'Those who didn't consider Burhan Wani and Afzal Guru terrorists are demanding his arrest.'

Unperturbed by the violence that rocked the national capital and led to the death of 20 people, BJP leader Kapil Mishra -- who delivered an incendiary speech just before two groups clashed over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) -- on Tuesday night shared a video, saying, "Jaffrabad had been vacated."

On the video, a large number of policemen can be seen under the Jaffrabad metro station flyover, where anti-CAA protesters, primarily women, had been staging a sit-in.

"Jaffrabad has been vacated, there won't be another Shaheen Bagh," Mishra said.

On Wednesday, in another tweet, Mishra targetted his critics, saying, "Those who didn't consider Burhan Wani and Afzal Guru terrorists are demanding his arrest. "

Mishra has come under severe criticism from one of the fellow BJP leaders as well.

East Delhi BJP MP Gautam Gambhir on Tuesday condemned the violence in the national capital and demanded strict action against anyone, including his party colleague Kapil Mishra if they gave "provocative" speeches.

The MP also asked those protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act to initiate dialogue with the government instead of indulging in violence.

"Whoever, no matter which party he belongs to, whether he is Kapil Mishra or anyone else, who gave speeches to provoke people, action should be taken against them," Gambhir told reporters after visiting injured police officers admitted at Max hospital in Patparganj.
