Akhil Gogoi, president of Raijor Dal, was released from prison on July 1 after a special NIA court acquitted him of all charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Gogoi was arrested in December 2019 for his alleged role in the anti-CAA movement in Assam.
