According to them, as then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi confabulated with her advisers to search for a place for political prisoners, Bansi Lal offered her Haryana. "It's close to Delhi," he told her. In 1996, Bansi Lal, who has been at the receiving end from his parent party, says he is raring to take on Congressmen.
