Sorry, Tony

The police followed their procedures to the letter. The boy and his parents were called in to the police station a day later (as per the regulations, a minor must be accompanied by his parents or a guardian) and Euan was duly reprimanded. The only concession made was to allow the Blairs to come to another police station for the reprimand and thus evade the press corps camped outside the Charing Cross police station. "In Delhi," chuckled a friend's mother visiting from India, "they would have transferred the police officer who dared to arrest him to the Andamans."
