Apart from their salaries, all Indian soldiers on UN peacekeeping missions are paid the following amounts by the Indian government:
Officers $2,200 ($1,000 from the UN and the rest from the Indian government) per month.
JCOs $1,700 ($1,000 from the UN and the rest from the Indian government) per month.
NCOs $800, which is less than the UN basic salary of $1,000.
Unofficial sources, however, allege that JCOs and NCOs are still not receiving their total dues from the government. Figures supplied by a former peacekeeper.
