Cabin Enforcement: Once the pilots enter the cockpit, doors remain closed at all times. Doors are made of bulletproof alloy. Even the door panels are of lightweight, layered, 1/8 inches-thick aluminium. All the latches are tamper-proof. No one can enter the cockpit from the cabin during the flight.
Passenger Checking: Security agents classify travellers by race, nationality, gender etc. Each passenger also has to answer a set of questions. Agents question each passenger in a group separately. Before check-in, agents screen tickets and passports for details. Security personnel check every passenger’s name with Interpol before allowing them onboard.
Airport Building And Luggage: Armed uniformed guards examine every vehicle that enters the airport building. Ground agents ensure that every checked bag is attended to by a passenger on the flight. Sophisticated X-ray equipment screens for liquid explosives. The airline places all its cargo in decompression chambers before loading on to the flight, to check for explosives that could be detonated by altitude-sensitive triggers.
