Chanel Iman third child : Know why the American model divorced Sterling Shephard

Chanel Iman and Davon Godchaux are celebrating parenthood with the birth of their first child, Caira. Chanel has two daughters, Cali (5) and Cassie (3), from her first marriage to Sterling Shephard. Davon is also the father of a seven-year-old boy from his previous marriage. Chanel separated from Shephard in June 2021.

The model and footballer got engaged in 2017 after a year of dating. Before marriage, they shared their excitement about living together on social media. They tied the knot on March 10, 2018, and on August 3, 2018, they welcomed their first child, Cali. Their second child was born on December 17 of the following year. According to divorce documents filed on June 21, 2021, it was stated that "The parties have experienced irreconcilable differences which have caused a breakdown in the marital relationship. Said irreconcilable differences have existed for at least six months prior to the filing of this Complaint, and there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation."

In the 2021 filing, divorce documents also mentioned that Shephard requested "equitable distribution of all assets and debts that were acquired during the marriage." It also addressed the request for legal custody of their child and a parenting time schedule for Shephard.

In the September 2021 filing, they agreed to share joint legal custody of the children. The parenting schedule depended on Shephard's football schedule, with him taking the children on Sunday or Monday evenings. The judge also ruled that they would not allow romantic third parties during their parenting time. According to the paperwork, Shephard would take responsibility for monthly expenses.

The divorce was finalized on January 5, 2022. Later, a feud emerged between Chanel and Shephard's mother regarding Chanel's Instagram post on July 24, 2022, featuring her two daughters, her new boyfriend Davon, and his son, all wearing jumpsuits on vacation. Chanel confirmed her new relationship with football defensive tackle Davon Godchaux on April 18, 2022. On May 3, Chanel confirmed her pregnancy, and they got engaged on May 30 of the same year.

The new couple’s romantic camaraderie has blossomed into parenthood and they are happily celebrating and rejoicing in the moment.
