Before Filing For Divorce, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Were Living Separate Lives

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's marriage had quietly unraveled over months, with reports of them living separate lives, now leading to a divorce filing that seeks an amicable resolution for their two young daughters.

The news of Joe Jonas filing for divorce from Sophie Turner on Tuesday did not catch those close to them off guard. The couple, according to reports, had spent "the entire summer apart," and although they were not officially separated, they had been leading separate lives for several months.

Jonas, 34 and Turner, who is 27, have been experiencing discord for some time now, but they are both aiming to find an amicable resolution to their issues. Regarding custody, they were reported in the process of working it out in real-time while there had been a prenup in place. The family was situated in Florida, and for the past few months, the children had been accompanying Jonas on tour, along with other family members, while Sophie had been working in the UK.

In his divorce filings, Jonas asserts that their two daughters have recently been residing with him. Official documents verify that the musician initiated divorce proceedings with the Game of Thrones actress following a four-year marital union. They are parents to a daughter named Willa, aged 3, and another daughter referred to as D., aged 14 months, in the divorce paperwork. The filing asserts that "the marriage between the parties has irreparably deteriorated" and highlights the presence of a prenuptial agreement.

In November of last year, Jonas shared insights in an interview with Mr. Porter regarding the reasons behind their decision to keep a significant portion of their relationship private. He stated that he wanted to feel like an open book but realized that he didn't have a ton of stuff that was just for him when they started dating. In the end, he mentioned that it made him a better person to have something for himself.
