Solomon Islands' PM Assures Deal With China Does Not Involve Military Base

In what the Solomon Islands' government called diversification of their security partnerships, the country has entered into a draft agreement with China on security matters. However, the government assured the international community that it does not involve a Chinese military base."Government is conscious of the security ramification of hosting a military base, and it will not be careless to allow such initiative to take place under its watch," said the government in a statement.
