Epstein Files: President Trump Sues Rupert Murdoch, WSJ For 10 Billion USD Over 'Fake Story'

US President Donald Trump has sued media baron Rupert Murdoch and The Wall Street Journal's parent companies, News Corp and Dow Jones, for USD 10 billion over a 'fake' report on his alleged birthday letter to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The defamation lawsuit came in response to the Wall Street Journal's claim that Trump had sent Epstein a birthday letter in 2003.

According to the WSJ report in question, the greeting, allegedly part of a birthday album compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell, included a sketch of a naked woman with Trump's signature positioned in a sexually explicit manner, along with a note referencing "wonderful secrets".

"We have just filed a POWERHOUSE Lawsuit against everyone involved in publishing the false, malicious, defamatory, FAKE NEWS 'article' in the useless 'rag' that is, The Wall Street Journal," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, Reuters reported..

Jeffrey Epstein was accused of sexually abusing several minors before he was found dead in his prison cell in 2019.

Earlier also, Trump fought against the renewed scrutiny of his past ties to Epstein, particularly in response to a Wall Street Journal report alleging he once sent Epstein a birthday card for his 50th birthday in 2003.

"The Wall Street Journal printed a FAKE letter, supposedly to Epstein. These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don't draw pictures. I told Rupert Murdoch it was a Scam, what he shouldn't print this Fake Story. But he did, and now I'm going to sue his ass off, and that of his third rate newspaper. Thank you for your attention to this matter! DJT", the US President, earlier said in a WSJ interview.

Trump also threatened legal action against the newspaper, stating, “I’m gonna sue The Wall Street Journal just like I sued everyone else.”

In another post, Trump wrote, "I told Rupert Murdoch it was a scam, that he shouldn’t print this fake story. But he did, and now I am going to sue his a** off, and that of his third-rate newspaper."

"Murdoch stated that he would take care of it, but obviously did not have the power to do so," Trump claimed. "Instead, they are going with a false, malicious, defamatory story anyway."

"I look forward to getting Rupert Murdoch to testify in my lawsuit against him and his 'pile of garbage' newspaper, the WSJ. That will be an interesting experience," he wrote.

Trump Orders Release Of Epstein Grand Jury Material

Trump recently directed the Justice Department to release all “pertinent” grand jury testimony related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, responding to mounting pressure from his MAGA base for further transparency in the high-profile case.

“Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval,” Trump posted Thursday on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed the directive minutes later, stating: “We are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts.”

The announcement follows several days of intense public pressure from Trump’s supporters, who have demanded greater disclosure surrounding Epstein’s connections and alleged cover-ups. The financier and convicted sex offender died in a New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges — more than a decade after his first conviction for soliciting sex from a minor.
