Focusing on the theme “Partnerships for the Education of the Future: Local Actions, Global Change,” the dialogue highlighted how collaboration among educational institutions can accelerate the transition toward sustainable learning ecosystems and responsible global citizenship.

The roundtable was chaired by Ms. Lata Vaidyanathan, Director of Gyan Bharati School, New Delhi, with Guests of Honour, Ms. Priti Srivastava, Founder of DayaRani Wellness and Mentor & Advocacy Lead at Reliance Industries, and Mr. Sudhir Mishra, eminent lawyer, climate activist, and Managing Partner of Trust Legal Advocates, New Delhi.

In her keynote, Ms. Vaidyanathan reflected on the transformative power of educators: “When teachers ignite curiosity with conscience, classrooms become catalysts of change. The future of sustainability depends on the values we seed in young hearts today.”

Ms. Priti Srivastava underlined the integration of wellness and sustainability, adding, “Education that nurtures emotional, physical, and environmental well-being builds the resilience we need to face tomorrow’s challenges. A healthy mind and a healthy planet are inseparable goals.”

Delivering the Master Address, Mr. Sudhir Mishra urged the academic community to rediscover environmental fundamentals.“When in doubt, go back to basics,” he said, establishing the immense impact of student power—“tomorrow’s green power.” He added, “The toughest part today is the debate on climate and its anxiety, and sadly, it has become limited to kids only now.”

Dr. Saiyam Sahni, Director of The Beacon School, venue host of the Roundtable, reaffirmed the centrality of youth engagement: “When students are given ownership of sustainable action, be it through campus projects, climate clubs, or innovation labs they evolve into ambassadors of change whose influence extends far beyond the classroom.”

In his concluding address, Dr. Amreesh Chandra, Founder – House of Mosaic, emphasized that schools must act as Level Zero of SDG awareness.

“Every student must not only learn about the SDGs but live them through daily habits and community engagement. The transformation of the world begins in the classroom.”
