Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) is a Technology Business Incubator supported by the Department of Electronics, IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka, Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. It is a cutting-edge translational research and entrepreneurship centre that serves the demands of modern life sciences start-ups. Within a short period of existence, it has reached 100% occupancy and is supporting numerous start-ups in creating new goods and technologies with significant societal effects. A fully functional Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) is available at BBC to serve the multidisciplinary research requirements of entrepreneurs in the various fields of the life sciences. BBC houses around 100 Incubatees. BBC has graduated 55 incubatees. At BBC, 71 patent applications have been filed.
