The shoot has been described as a labour of dedication and resilience. In the making video, Shetty can be seen prepping for the film, and how he turned his dream of telling the story of his village to the world. He said it took him three years and 250 days of shoot while making the film with the help of of his team and faith that never left his side. He called Kantara Chapter 1 not just a film but "a divine force."
Rishab Shetty, announcing the wrap-up of Kantara: Chapter 1, shared a BTS video of the entire journey, which is a tribute to his passion of storytelling. He offered glimpses into the grand, divine, and marvelous world of this cinematic spectacle. "Wrap Up… The Journey Begins ❤️🔥Presenting #WorldOfKantara ~ A Glimpse into the making (sic)", read the caption in an Instagram post.
The post further read: "#KantaraChapter1 has been a divine journey, deeply rooted in our culture, brought to life with unwavering dedication, relentless hard work, and incredible team spirit."
The makers also reconfirmed the release date of Kantara: Chapter 1, i.e. October 2, 2025.

While talking bout the film, producer Vijay Kiragandur shared, Kantara: Chapter 1 is undoubtedly our most ambitious project to date — and there are several reasons why. The scale of effort, from the number of shoot days to the sheer volume of manpower, far surpasses anything we’ve undertaken before."
He also said that the film holds a deeply personal place in their hearts, and it is the kind of cinema they always dreamed of creating. They have "aspired to create something for this generation — and for generations to come — that makes them proud of India’s rich heritage."
The film will be released worldwide in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English.
