About Kantara: Chapter 1
Kantara: Chapter 1 is the prequel to Rishab's blockbuster Kantara (2022), for which Shetty won the National Film Award for Best Actor.
Earlier, in a BTS video, the actor said that it took him three years and 250 days of shoot to make the film. He called it not just a film but "a divine force."
Rishab has also written the film, apart from acting and directing. It also stars Rukmini Vasanth and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles. The prequel will expand the universe of the original film with a fresh narrative, adding layers and emotional depth. Kantara: Chapter 1 will be released worldwide in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English. Audiences can witness a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience in IMAX.
