On Monday, on the occasion of Rishab Shetty's birthday, Hombale Films released the new poster with seven languages: Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, and English.
Rishab can be seen in the look of a fierce warrior, holding an axe and a shield.
Earlier, there were reports of the film being delayed. The makers today, confirmed that it will arrive as per the scheduled date. Written and directed by Rishab Shetty himself, Kantara: Chapter 1 will be released worldwide on October 2, 2025.

Kantara: Chapter 1 is the prequel to Rishab's blockbuster Kantara (2022), which was a cinematic masterpiece and raved for its concept and storytelling.
Rishab won the National Award for Best Actor for Kantara. On receiving the honour, he had told ANI, "I am truly overwhelmed by the honour of this National Award for Kantara. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of this journey, the incredible team of artists, technicians and especially Hombale Films."
He added, "The audiences have made this film what it is and their support fills me with a deep sense of responsibility. I am committed to working even harder to bring an even better film to our viewers."
Apart from this, the Kannada superstar also has Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, which will be directed by filmmaker Sandeep Singh, and Jai Hanuman, which is a sequel to director Prasanth Varma’s Hanu-Man (2023).
