Sinéad O'Connor Bids Final Good Bye To Her Son At His Hindu Funeral

Singer Sinéad O'Connor who was hospitalized was seen at her 17-year-old son's funeral in a bright pink sweatsuit.

Irish singer-songwriter Sinéad O'Connor honored her late son, Shane O’Conner and held a Hindu funeral service on Saturday (January 15). The singer wore a bright pink sweatsuit and said that her son would’ve “loved it.”

As reported by Page Six, she said,“We just said goodbye to our beautiful angel, Shaney. Very lovely Hindu ceremony. Shane will have loved it,” she shared.

“He was always chanting ‘Om. Shanti.’ I put a few packs of fags in the coffin for him in case there’s none in heaven. He’ll have loved that too. Om. Shanti.'” she said

The singer herself was hospitalized following the disappearance and death by suicide of her teenage son last week.

She had written, "There is no point living without him," referring to her son, Shane O'Connor. "Everything I touch, I ruin. I only stayed for him. And now he's gone. I've destroyed my family. My kids don't want to know me."

In a follow-up tweet she shared late Thursday, Sinéad O’Connor also apologized for her tweet earlier.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that … I’m sorry I upset everyone. I am lost without my kid and I hate myself. Hospital will help for a while. But I'm going to find Shane. This is just a delay."

Sinéad O'Connor shared her son Shane O'Connor with musician Dónal Lunny.

She first shared the news of the death of her 17-year-old son on twitter on January 7. She wrote, "My beautiful son, Nevi'im Nesta Ali Shane O'Connor, the very light of my life, decided to end his earthly struggle today and is now with God. May he rest in peace and may no one follow his example. My baby. I love you so much. Please be at peace."

The singer has three other children: son Jake, 34, with her first husband John Reynolds, daughter Roisin, 25, with ex-boyfriend John Waters, and son Yeshua, 15, with Frank Bonadio.
