Kapil Sharma Takes A Dig At His Film 'Firangi', Wants To Know Who Actually Watched It

Kapil Sharma’s show will also host Bhagyashree, Nushratt Bharuccha, Karan Singh Chhabra, Palak Muchhal, Mandakini, Sangeeta Bijlani and Varsha Usgaonkar during this weekend’s episodes.

Kapil Sharma, in the promos of the upcoming episode of 'The Kapil Sharma Show', jokes about his film 'Firangi'. Produced by Kapil, the movie was a failure at the box office and did not receive any appreciation from critics as well.

In the promo shared by Sony TV, Kapil asked Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, who was there to promote his film Chatrapathi, about his favourite Hindi films. The Telugu star named Dil Chahta Hai and Rang De Basanti as his most favourite Hindi films and Kapil said, “Sab achi achi dekhte hain, Firangi nahi dekhi aapne? (You watch only good films. Have you not watched Firangi?)” When the audience started laughing, Kapil followed it up with, “Main toh uss aadmi ko dhund raha hun jisne dekhi hai. (I am looking for the person who has actually seen the film).”

Kapil Sharma’s show will also host Bhagyashree, Nushratt Bharuccha, Karan Singh Chhabra, Palak Muchhal, Mandakini, Sangeeta Bijlani and Varsha Usgaonkar during this weekend’s episodes.

The Kapil Sharma Show will go on hiatus in June. Previously, a source told indianexpress.com that this will be a ‘seasonal break’ and it will give the team the time to experiment with some new content. “Seasonal breaks have actually worked for the show giving us a chance to stir up things in terms of content and cast. Also, comedy is a tough genre and actors need a break so that monotony doesn’t set in. Everyone can return refreshed and we can experiment with a different format and some new characters,” the source said.

The source added, “Kapil Sharma also has an international tour lined up and thus the decision to take a break at this time came in. The team, as of now, plans to shoot a bank of episodes so that their fans do not miss them for long. However, the duration of the break hasn’t been decided as of now.”
