They issued a joint statement which read, “Statement from the two of us: After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

Ever since the news came out, there have been several speculations regarding the split of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner. As per the latest TMZ report, there is a new twist to it, and it is believed that a factor for their marriage breaking down was that Joe Jonas was ‘less than supportive’ as Sophie struggled after giving birth last year.

The portal quoted sources close to the development as saying that Sophie was struggling after the birth of her and Joe's second daughter. It is said that she 'didn't want to leave their home' and 'didn't want to be photographed or go to events'. However, “She attended several events with Joe, but at one specific event, several people who were there said Sophie made it clear she was uncomfortable and didn't want to be there.”

The portal further stated that shortly after the said event, there was another event, and Joe attended solo. As per TMZ sources, the singer ‘complained Sophie was MIA (missing in action) and felt she needed to get out more'. Hence, there was a clear strain in the relationship, and the singer reportedly acknowledged there were ‘challenges in the relationship.

Meanwhile, a certain section of the media also reported how Joe was upset about Sophie being too much into partying. An insider was quoted by TMZ as saying that the two had 'different lifestyles', with Joe preferring to 'stay at home', and Sophie enjoying going out. “She likes to party, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles,” the report added.
