Oscar-winning filmmaker James Cameron has returned with his much-hyped Avatar: Fire and Ash. The third instalment arrived in cinemas on December 19, with fans flocking to theatres to watch the first day, first show of the sci-fi saga. The world of Pandora grows larger with the new Ash tribe and their leader, Varang. Like the previous instalments, Avatar 3 also returned with the same grandeur, best action sequences and standout performances—making it a visual masterpiece. But story-wise, the film seems to have fallen flat due to the predictable plot. Many found it repetitive and also said that the pace slowed down due to the dragging of the subplots.

The film scored 70% on the Rotten Tomatoes website, the lowest for an Avatar film yet. Avatar: Fire and Ash is expected to debut with over $350 million globally, according to Variety.

As per the report, the film could earn $90 million to $105 million from 3,800 theatres. The magnum opus is expected to rake in between $250 million and $275 million in its international market, with a worldwide debut between $340 million and $365 million.
