Here’s How Naga Chaitanya, Dad Nagarjuna And Akhil Deal With Flops: We Will Be Back For Sure

Naga Chaitanya is now awaiting the release of ‘Custody’. At the film's press meet, he opened up about the flops.

Naga Chaitanya, Akhil Akkineni and their father, Nagarjuna, haven't seen success in the recent past and most of their films failed to impress the audience. Some of their films did not even do profitable business at the box office.

At the press conference of his upcoming film, ‘Custody’, Naga Chaitanya discussed how the Akkineni family deals with flops. The ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ actor mentioned how he feels this phase will pass soon and that they want to fulfill their fans' expectations.

Speaking at an event, Naga Chaitanya said, "We always want to make a successful film. We are grateful for the unconditional love and support of our fans. Last few releases haven't worked out. Highs and lows in a career are quite normal and we travel through the highs and lows. This phase will pass soon and we will be back for sure. I am quite confident in Custody. I am hoping we will give what our fans need."

Previously, Akhil Akkineni's ‘Agent’ and Nagarjuna's ‘The Ghost’ did not perform well at the box office and received lukewarm responses.

Naga Chaitanya's upcoming film, ‘Custody’, is all set to release in theatres on May 12. The cop drama, which is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, is directed by Venkat Prabhu. It is an action thriller, also featuring Arvind Swamy and Krithi Shetty in lead roles along with R Sarathkumar, Vennela Kishore, Premi Viswanath, Sampath Raj and Premgi Amaren in supporting roles.

Reportedly, Priyamani will be seen in a cameo with cinematographer SR Kathir, editor Venkat Raajen and composers Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja being part of the technical crew.
