Golden Globes 2024: Here's Why Meghan Markle Wasn't A Part Of The 'Suits' Reunion

It has been known why Meghan Markle was not a part of the popular 'Suits' reunion at the Golden Globes.

The prestigious Golden Globes Awards took place Sunday night PT in Beverly Hills, California. Many stars marked their presence at the award ceremony. Among the list of stars were 'Suits' actors Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres, who were asked to present the award for the Best Television Drama.

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, who played a pivotal role in 'Suits,' was cordially invited to join her former co-stars, but was not available. “We asked the Duchess, but we were told that, unfortunately, she had a previous commitment,” a Globes insider told Page Six.

'Suits' Netflix

At the Golden Globes, host Jo Koy fell flat in his monologue. He target many A-listers, but also didn't leave the Royal Family out. He joked about Prince Harry and Meghan's Netflix documentary, which raised eyebrows and disapprovals from the audience. "Harry and Meghan Markle got paid millions for doing absolutely nothing – and that’s just by Netflix," Koy said.

Before the cast made their on-screen reunion, Torres made a shocking revelation that Meghan was not a part of the cast's groupchat that discussed the show’s Netflix renewal. “We don’t have her number. We just don’t. So she’ll see, she’ll watch. She’ll be happy that we’re here.” However, it has been floating in the air that the Duchess is still in touch with co-stars Rafferty and Adams.

Meanwhile, Patrick Adams, who made an appearance on the red carpet with Gabriel Macht, talked about plans for a 'Suits' spin-off. In an exclusive interview with E!News the same night, Adams revealed that he would love to have a spin-off alongside the former royal family member, stating that she's a "fantastic actress" and "we'd be lucky to have her back in the industry."
