On Saturday, Dosanjh, who will be seen alongside Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, in Border 2, shared a video on his Instagram handle announcing the completion of the film shoot.
The Lover singer will play the role of Shaheed Nirmal Jeet Singh Sekhon in the movie.
He captioned the video. "'BORDER 2' Shoot Finish. Got to play the role of Shaheed Nirmal Jeet Singh Sekhon Ji in the movie."
In the video, he can be seen in the get-up of his character and feeding sweets to his co-stars Varun and Ahan and hugging them. Diljit also distributed sweets to the kids of set, and other crew members of the film. Fans also gathered to take selfies with the star.
The song of original Border, titled Sandese Aate Hai, was added to the video.
For the unversed, Nirmal Jeet Singh Sekhon was an officer of the Indian Air Force, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra.
Diljit's collaboration with Pakistan actress Hania Aamir in Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3, sparked outrage, and several film bodies called for a ban on him. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) even asked makers of Border 2 to remove the actor from the film. There were reports claiming that Dosanjh was dropped from it.
But later he put all the speculations to rest by posting a BTS video from the set of Border 2.
Border 2 has been directed by Anurag Singh, and produced by JP Films and T-Series. It is a sequel to JP Dutta's 1997 iconic film, Border. It is slated to hit theatres on January 23, 2026.
Apart from Border 2, Diljit will also be seen in No Entry 2, alongside Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor.
