Bollywood icon Deepika Padukone turns 38 today!

The actress made her film debut with the Indrajit Lankesh-directorial 'Aishwarya' back in 2006. Since then, it's been an upwards journey for her, with her soaring heights and gaining fame in the Farah Khan-directorial 'Om Shanti Om.' She has carved her name on multiple Filmfare awards, and has garnered worldwide acclaim, ranging from being invited to Cannes Film Festival or even attending the Met Gala.

She is also an entrepreneur of the skincare brand 82°E, as well as brand ambassadors for Louis Vuitton, Levi's, Adidas, Cartier, Hyundai, to name a few. As far as her acting goes, Padukone, who ranked 3rd on IMDb's list of 'Top 10 Most Popular Indian Stars of 2023,' has several popular roles under her veil. Some of her best performances include:

The actress played the role of an architect, Piku Banerjee. She starred opposite Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan. The actress played the role of Rani Padmavati, the Queen of Mewar. She starred opposite Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. After several controversies and censor issues, the actress took home the Best Actress Award at the Filmfares. The movie takes us back to the 14th century where the news of Padmavati's beauty was in every corner. It even reached Sultan Alauddin Khilji, who dishonourably murdered her husband, the King of Mewar, who was solely motivated by his desire to make her his Queen.

'Karthik Calling Karthik' (7.1)

The actress played the role of Shonali Mukharjee. She starred opposite Farhan Akhtar. Though the film didn't do great at the box office, it raised social awareness regarding mental disorders. But he doesn't realize that he has to battle his personal demons.
