4 Years of 'Super 30': Hrithik Roshan Once Said, ‘Love Proving People Wrong Who Say I Can’t Do It’

Scepticism and doubt has often fuelled Hrithik Roshan's passion and motivates him to push his limits. ‘Super 30’ was no exception.

It has been four years since the release of the critically acclaimed film ‘Super 30’, where Hrithik Roshan showcased his versatility by portraying the real-life mathematician Anand Kumar on the big screen. The movie not only resonated with audiences but also gave Hrithik an opportunity to prove his detractors wrong. Reflecting on his experience, the actor, in an earlier interview, had shared his enthusiasm for silencing the naysayers and defying expectations.

He had said, "I love proving people wrong. When somebody says 'Hrithik can't do it,' you can't even imagine how charged I get. If you want me to do something, you just have to say he can't do it. Bas! Aisa spark ho jaata hai andar. But if you want me to be really bad at something, you just have to say, 'He can do it very easily.' So I don't feel like doing it only. I'm a lot like that."

Scepticism and doubt has often fuelled Hrithik Roshan's passion and motivates him to push his limits. ‘Super 30’ was no exception. Portraying a character based on a real person required a deep understanding of their persona, struggles, and motivations. Anand Kumar, the renowned mathematician who dedicated his life to coaching underprivileged students presented a unique challenge for Hrithik.

The actor's commitment to his craft shone through as he undertook extensive research and preparation to accurately depict Anand Kumar. From the very beginning, Hrithik's intention was clear—to not only do justice to the role but also to silence those who doubted his capabilities.

Post its release, ‘Super 30’ received widespread acclaim, with Hrithik Roshan's portrayal of Anand Kumar being lauded for its authenticity and depth. Hrithik's performance served as a testament to his commitment to his craft and his ability to step into the shoes of diverse characters.

Looking ahead, it will be fascinating to see Hrithik Roshan take on new roles and conquer uncharted territories, like he has always done.
