‘King Of Pop’ Michael Jackson’s Biopic, Starring Jaafar Jackson, Finalises April 18, 2025 Release Date

Michael Jackson biopic is aimed to give an honest portrayal of the man who became the King of Pop’. 

After much wait, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, is getting a biopic made on him and it is now slated to release in 2025, as per recent reports. So, for all of his lovers, get ready to moonwalk and mark the date on your calendar. With the film, the audience would get to witness the man behind the breathtaking music, who was also known for his iconic dance moves. Not to miss, his intriguing life also fascinated the entire world.

While Lionsgate Studios will back the film’s release in the domestic market, the international market would be handled by Universal Studios. As per Variety, Michael Jackson will start production on January 22. The film is titled ‘Michael’.

For those caught unaware, the much-awaited biopic is created by Graham King, who was the mastermind behind the legendary ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. It is slated to hit theaters on April 18, 2025. While Antoine Fuqua is directing the film, the role of Michael Jackson would be played by none other than Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew. The film would also mark Jaafar’s debut lead role.

Coming to the biopic, its official synopsis reads as, “Michael’ will bring audiences a riveting and honest portrayal of the brilliant yet complicated man who became the King of Pop. The film presents his triumphs and tragedies on an epic, cinematic scale.” 

The synopsis continues, “from his human side and personal struggles to his undeniable creative genius, exemplified by his most iconic performances. As never before, audiences will experience an inside look into one of the most influential, trailblazing artists the world has ever known.”

Meanwhile, not to miss, Michael Jackson was accused of abusing children, and he was found not guilty after being tried amid his denials of child sexual assault allegations. If the film would delve into those controversies, still remains to be seen. Also, producers, John Branca and John McClain, who manage Michael Jackson's estate, bankroll the film.
