MPower Talk - First Vernacular Language Based Talk Show Platform Of Mysuru

MPower Talk is Mysuru’s first vernacular talk show platform, founded by Kishore Rachaiah, sharing inclusive entrepreneur stories via podcasts, interviews and live talks to inspire youth, startups and communities.

For more than a decade, M/s Kreatement Events has been organizing numerous social and educational events under the leadership of Kishore Rachaiah. He has built the brand from scratch, which is unique in our city of Mysuru. Kreatement Events which is popularly known for speaker events in Mysuru, and Kishore have introduced Benchmark Speakers to Mysuru. To list a few – Sri Vivek Bindra, Gaur Gopal Das, Sri Sukhbodanada, Murali Sundaram and many others have spoken and interacted with Mysoreans.

A life changing moment for Kishore was a ‘Oh Manase Relax Please’ by Swamy Sukhbdananda and his video about his most popular book on YouTube inspired Kishore to start off on a new journey. He initiated training school children, conducting workshops for government school children pro bono, training employees of corporate companies and others.

The lockdown and the pandemic sowed new seeds in his mind to interview entrepreneurs under the banner of ‘MPower Talk’. To reach out to his audience in the online global village via interviewing entrepreneurs and sharing their success stories with the enthusiastic young dreamers. So that the budding entrepreneurs can align, realign and pivot their GOALS. This started with a bang, with BNI-Mysore Region (Business Network International) providing an opportunity to interview its members. These talks in turn motivated many a business owner to overcome the pandemic stress. The talks also became a medium to understand more about the initial struggles of entrepreneurs.

MPower Talk has 3 Major domains:

  1. PODCASTS (In Regional Languages to reach students and entrepreneurs from rural areas and upcountry) these videos are based on True Stories narrated in vernacular languages keeping the duration 4 to 5mins. These videos are circulated on digital platform.

  2. INTERVIEW - Interviewing Successful entrepreneurs to pick up their mindset and their struggle behind success. This would be recorded and uploaded in Digital platform like YouTube & official Website.

  3. TALK SHOW – We organize periodical events wherein we invite 5 to 6 Eminent Speakers to deliver talk on various topics which would be accessible to public as well as people who would like to associate with us as members.

Now, Kishore designed the ‘First Talk Show Platform in Mysuru’. This comes to fruit after 6 months of process building and fine-tuning and Talk show happens once in 4 months.

Kishore had already conducted a few interviews of successful entrepreneurs. He also created podcasts, stories that talks about human value which is also crafted with animation in Kannada along with Sign Language interpretation. The very idea of reaching the grass root level populace of Karnataka is achieved by using Kannada as the language for the podcasts. Karnataka and Kannada have their share of eminent speaker who are also masters of English, Hindi and many other languages; both Indian and foreign. In most business conversations, silence is treated as absence. A pause to be filled. A gap to be corrected. In studios, panel discussions, business presentations and talk shows, the assumption is simple: if you are present, you can hear; if you are ambitious, you can speak. In order to belong, one must adapt.

mPower Talk was built on a different premise: that silence can also be participation, that listening does not always require sound and that entrepreneurship, like storytelling, comes in many forms and has many languages.

This philosophy extends further. mPower Talk is also the first talk show in the region to be intentionally inclusive of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, incorporating sign language interpretation and on-screen captions as a structural element of its media design. The interpreter is not placed at the margins but integrated into the visual language of the show, a conscious choice that reshapes how conversations unfold. Speakers slow down. Ideas are articulated with greater care. Meaning takes precedence over momentum.

For entrepreneurs and professionals appearing on the platform, many from Karnataka’s SME and startup ecosystem, this environment reframes what effective communication looks like. It is not about polish or performance, but about being understood across linguistic, cultural and sensory boundaries.

In this way, mPower Talk becomes more than a stage. It becomes a learning environment, one that values clarity, intentionality and empathy as entrepreneurial skills.
