A nation that has long carried the moral authority of its ancient ecological wisdom — Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the Earth as one family — is now making decisions that will define the environmental character of its digital civilisation for decades. The question before us is not whether India will build data centres. It will, and at breathtaking speed. The question is whether it will do so wisely, on its own sovereign terms, and with Viksit Bharat goals as overarching theme.
