Budget 26-27 Will Give A New Direction To The Development Of The Country And States: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami appreciated the Union Budget 2026-27, stating that it will provide a new direction to the development of the country and states while enhancing opportunities for all sections of society. He said the budget emphasizes accelerating economic growth, fulfilling people’s aspirations, and ensuring inclusive development. The Chief Minister congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a development-oriented and inclusive budget, highlighting special focus on farmers, women, underprivileged sections, youth, small entrepreneurs, and marginalized communities.

The Chief Minister said the budget makes significant provisions for employment, education, healthcare, tourism, skill development, women’s empowerment, industry, and infrastructure. These initiatives will benefit the entire country as well as Uttarakhand, creating more employment opportunities for local youth.

The budget includes plans to develop eco-friendly mountain trails in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir. In the context of Uttarakhand, the budget focuses on tourism and infrastructure, which are essential for development. He added that provisions for farmers, animal husbandry, high-value agriculture, tourism, and MSMEs will strengthen the state’s rural and hilly economy.

The Chief Minister noted that investments in environment and energy security, digital technology, and the biopharma sector will ensure long-term benefits for both the state and the country.

CM Dhami said the budget has been prepared keeping in mind the objectives of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Collective Effort, Inclusive Development) and an Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). He stated that the Uttarakhand government will fully cooperate with the central government to effectively implement the schemes and provisions announced in the budget.

The Chief Minister added that this budget will not only strengthen the country’s economic power but also provide equal development opportunities to hilly states like Uttarakhand.
