A 22 year old girl from China studying in a prominent Delhi University College has alleged molestation by a plant sellar at her residence, said a report in the Hindustan Times.
The police was able to nab the accused after a two day manhunt. 42 year old Mahavir had been visiting the complainant trying to sell flower pots and plants to her. When on Monday she asked him to leave, he allegedly touched her inappropriately and fled when she raised an alarm.
After a case was registered at the GK 1 Police station, several teams were formed to nab the accused whose identity wasn't known to anyone. Door to door visits by the police proved fruitful when one of his customers revealed his identity.

Delhi University has been in the news recently. The university has witnessed a series of protests especially in the north campus after an invite to Umar Khalid to speak on 'Culture of Protests' at Ramjas college turned ugly. RSS backed ABVP members had allegedly disrupted the seminar. Protests against ABVP by AISA supporters and students followed with women protesters alleging attacks by policemen. The DCW had ordered an enquiry for the same.
