Karan Thapar, President, ITV: My hope is that the act of hoisting the tricolour should cease to be seen as either important or a privilege and be open to all provided it is what they want to do. Equally, I hope that those who choose not to hoist it--because such displays of patriotism are not part of their style--should not be looked down upon. I believe patriotism is a sentiment felt in the heart and does not have to be worn on the sleeve or brandished in public as proof of loyalty or desh prem.
