Making the impossible possible is becoming a habit with this Hyderabad tennis diva. Staring down the barrel at 0-40 and on the brink of losing her fifth straight game, Sania Mirza pulled herself up by the laces of her tennis shoes to script a magical recovery and dump reigning US Open champion Svetlana Kuznetsova in straight sets to storm into the quarter finals of the Dubai Open.

Besides turning the form book on its head by thrashing players several rankings above herself, Mirza seems to relish the challenge of clawing her way back into matches, especially when all seems lost. She had earlier pulled off similar Houdini acts last month on the way to becoming the first Indian to clinch a WTA title when she won the Hyderabad Open.
