Is your resignation a sudden and impulsive move or the culmination of a well thought-out plan?
I have been thinking of resigning for quite some time.

This decision seems surprising as you were closely associated with Zee's growth.
I wanted to grow beyond Aap Ki Adalat.

Will you be joining another channel or set up shop yourself?
My preference would be to set up a software production house and start my own news bulletins and shows.

On what channels would your programmes be aired?
There are many options open now as lots of new channels are coming in.

What happens to Aap Ki Adalat?
Aap Ki Adalat may continue to be aired on Zee TV with me as the host. That's the way I would like it.

Was the appointment of V.G. Jindal as chief of Zee TV the cause of your departure from Zee?
I have excellent relations with Jindal.

What about your equation with Ratikanta Basu, the newly appointed STAR TV chief?
I consider him as one of the best television professionals in...
