Dilip Kumar, Nehru's hero? Shouldn't it be the other way round?
It should be Nehruvian Hero I suppose, but that sounds so ugly.

I was a romantic to start with. And now, to my pleasant surprise, romance has returned after 42 years.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
I didn't last year, but now I do.
You plan to write more on Hindi cinema?
Yes, lots. Starting with a book on Nargis by Kishwar and me.
Is your hairstyle a tribute to your idol Dilip Kumar?
Well, I used to try to imitate his style with brylcream and comb, but not everybody has the good fortune to look like Dilip Kumar.
Who is your ideal of Indian Manhood?
It has to be Dilip Kumar—Nehru was too old when I was an adolescent.
And your ideal Indian woman?
Nargis, though Madhubala was more beautiful.
Do you still watch a lot of Hindi films?
No. But I plan to once we get married.
But you did propose in a cinema hall?
Not quite, but it was while watching Chameli that I noticed how attractive she was. Luckily for us, the film was so bad that we walked out half way through it.

I would certainly like to make a film about us, but if we played ourselves, I'd ruin it with my singing.
