Many bureaucrats feel that Marandi has done nothing but created another Bihar. Some call him "Laloo’s tribal version" Neither the CM nor his cabinet colleagues have declared their assets and despite repeated promises, the government is yet to hold panchayat polls. An ambitious plan to make Jharkhand a model state and to develop its capital, Ranchi, is yet to take off. Also, Marandi’s new industrial policy, which promised an effective single-window system of project clearance at the district and state level, is yet to see the light of day.
Marandi, according to a BJP MLA, has been too busy battling his own partymen and alliance partner Samata for political survival. And that, ultimately, may spell his doom.
