By all accounts Kanimozhi, 40, is tipped to be the new face of the DMK in Delhi. A poet with some standing in literary circles, she is the most articulate and suave among the sons and daughters of DMK chief M. Karunanidhi. Outlook has reliably learnt that her entry into the Rajya Sabha is virtually a certainty when elections to six seats from Tamil Nadu takes place in June. In fact, a day before he forced his grand-nephew Dayanidhi Maran to quit from the Union cabinet, Karunanidhi gave ample indication of what's in store for his daughter. "Exemplary public service and hard work will always bring rewards and bestow posts at the appropriate time," he noted.
