Association of Victims of Uphaar Tragedy
It is a group of 28 families united in their grief over those they lost in the fire at the capital's Uphaar theatre. It took the likes of Neelam Krishnamoorthy and husband Shekhar six years but their dogged fight against the mighty Ansals has paid up. The victims' kin were awarded compensation of Rs 17 crore and additional damages of Rs 3.5 crore.
