When Kareena Kapoor announces that she plays an out-and-out negative role in Fida, there's not much that can be left to the viewer's imagination. So, the so-called spine-chilling revelation hardly comes as a shock, you may well have guessed it even before the film started. Though better made than an average Bollywood flick, it would appear juvenile to any self-respecting thriller fan. The half-baked, inept plot is all about a baby-faced Shahid falling for good-looking stranger Kareena. When she says no, he woos her by trying to commit suicide. Not only does he get saved conveniently but also manages to win her over. Then comes the proverbial twist—Kareena owes Rs 6 crore to the underworld and Shahid decides to rob a bank to get her the moolah, only to end up striking a silly deal with "internet robber" Fardeen. Revealing any more would be injurious to the pleasure of anyone remotely interested in watching the film.
