How will Ghoonghat be different from other Hindi films?
Ghoonghat doesn't have any shouting, screaming or bomb explosions. The dialogue's set in a musical format a la Singing in the Rain and Sound of Music. Otherwise, it's a typical Indian love story.
You are called the king of the pelvic thrust. Why do you insist on having it in every dance?
Pelvic movement is normal in any dance between the sexes. It has been in cinema for many years now and it can change only if the director wants a change.
Choreography in Hindi films has degenerated into gross physical movement.
There is no soul. And this is because of Channel V and MTV. We are trying their techniques. There's too much Hollywood in Bollywood.
All songs look exactly the same in all films. What's happened to creativity?

Children are doing the pelvic thrust in Masoom and Ghoonghat. Comment.
We get admired by schoolchildren. Real life children do far more than what we show in films. The masses like it.
Is Chinni Prakash Choreographer No 1 or does Saroj Khan deserve the title?
Saroj Khan is definitely better than me.
The rivalry between you and her is legendary; what triggered it off?
There's no rivalry. The press started it. She's doing her job and I am doing mine.
It's alleged that you are promoting your wife. Comment.
I'm not promoting her. She's doing her own job. If she's successful, then she'll get promoted, otherwise she won't.
Why do you always sound so pompous in all your interviews?
That's my outlook. That's my style of speaking. I know what I am doing.
