Canada Dry For The BJP
First generation Indo-Canadian politicians, mainly from Punjab, find nothing wrong with the idea of Sonia Gandhi taking up the country’s top job and some of them have now openly disapproved of the BJP’s anti-Sonia tirade. The first Canadian of Indian origin to become the premier of British Columbia, Ujjal Dosanjh, who was felicitated by the SAD-BJP government in Punjab when he visited India after becoming premier, has told a newspaper: "If Indian politicians can take pride in the election of people like me (to a political office in a foreign land), why are they opposed to Sonia Gandhi? Why do we become judgemental when it comes to sharing equal rights with foreigners in our own land?"
