Within a week of Nitish laying the foundation stone of the controversial East Central Railway (ECR) zone in Hajipur and declaring it fully operational, Paswan’s supporters carved a new inscription on the plaque: "Ram Vilas ka naam nahi to koi nahi (If Ram Vilas’s name is not acknowledged, then no one else’s name deserves to be mentioned here)." A couple of weeks ago, the foundation stone of the ECR zonal office, which Paswan had laid as minister, was removed to ‘facilitate the ongoing construction work’. Paswan’s men say it was done at Nitish’s instance.
