The Club was showing signs of opening in fits and starts after lockdown but had announced that members had to produce a vaccination certificate to use the facilities – the staff had already been vaccinated once and the librarians twice. Till that announcement my father had been firmly refusing any attempts to take him for his shot even though he had spent all his working days as a specialist in various hospitals worldwide.
