The second wave of Covid-19 in Karnataka will start flattening after May 17, a study by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) showed. Karnataka, the second worst-hit Covid state in the country after Maharashtra has been recording nearly 50,000 fresh cases daily. The state saw 47,930 new infections and 490 fatalities which took the cumulative number of infections and death toll to 19.34 lakh and 18,776 respectively.
