Madhya Pradesh, the heart of India, is a treasure trove any day. Be it cultural, religious, culinary or wildlife, Madhya Pradesh has so many things to offer to a discerning traveller. When it comes to Madhya Pradesh, tigers and gorgeous timeless monuments are the first things to come to mind. What if we told you that Madhya Pradesh is also a great destination for adventure sports? Find out how.

Water Sports in Hanuwantiya
Jet skiing is one of the popular things to do in HanuwantiyaHanuwantiya Island is located on the banks of Indira Sagar Dam and is full of surprises. The vast blue lake is a gorgeous escape from the hustle and bustle of the cities for here one can experience watersports like zorbing, surfing, canoeing, jet skiing and even snorkelling and scuba diving. But it's not just watersports that one can experience here, activities like ziplining, ATV rides and kite flying are big too. About 45-minute boat ride away is Boriyamaal Island where one can pitch a tent and hike the surrounding forest. As you hike up the forest path, you will get an undisturbed 180-degree view of the lake and its many islands.


Parasailing is a popular sport in Madhya Pradesh

Another largesy popular water sport taking place around the area is Parasailing. Conducted at the Upper Lake Bhopal Boat Club during the Jal Mahotsav, the sport is also known as parascending or parakiting. A kiting activity where a person is towed behind a boat (though it could be different vehicle) while being tied to a specially designed canopy wing almost like a parachute, called a parasail wing, Parasailing is on a great ascend. A group of trained staff will take you through the process and the safety instructions.

Explore the forest and find jewels like thisCalling out both avid trekkers and first timers, Madhya Pradesh has probably not been on your list. If you love the outdoors, you need to give Madhya Pradesh's dense forests and rocky trails a try. Though a national park, one can go forest trek in Satpura National Park or hike up to the top of Pachmarhi Hill. As stated earlier, Madhya Pradesh is also a land of many waterfalls and treks to some of these waterfalls (Tincha Fall, Patalpani Waterfall and Chidiya Bhadak Waterfall among others) should be on your to-do list. A walk in the forest of Pachmarhi will take you to many caves that one can explore easily.
