Watch This Space

People in Mumbai will say there is no such thing called space—not because they are philosophical but because they simply don’t have it. In a city where an average home is measured to be less than 200 square feet and about half the people live in one-roomarrangements, gardens are things that the governor would have and not even the CM. Space has remained the greatest leveller here, the abstract human element that has ensured that such a thing called status will never be flashed as much as in other cities.
