T
he one public outing staged by Brad and Angelina involved an elaborate ruse. As fleets of Mercedes and other limousines streamed out of the front gates of the hotel—with the paparazzi in hot pursuit—the couple sneaked out the back entrance with four-year-old adopted son Maddox and jumped into an autorickshaw driven by Arif Mohammed Husain Bohri, who obligingly took them on a tour of Pune's sights.
All of this, of course, ended up on the front pages, with the child looking clearly terrified. Bohri, pursued by reporters, later apparently recounted that Brad expressed his appreciation effusively, telling him he was "a nice man, a nice driver". If only Bohri had a camera on him too, he could have become a millionaire overnight.
Hello and
People would have outbid each other for exclusives of Brad and Angie slumming it out in pallid Pune.
