rom Mahal and Madhumati to Kudrat and Om Shanti Om, reincarnation has been a rather entertaining formula in Bollywood. M.R. Shahjahan manages to make a totally dull and deadbeat film out of it.

Karma fails in every department—acting or atmospherics. Carlucci Weyant is an NRI who has issues with his father, Vijayendra Ghatge. Weyant returns to his roots with his brand new wife, Alma Saraci. Saraci begins seeing visions, past and present collide, and you get a mess of an unpalatable khichdi. Weyant is a log of wood who can’t keep his hands off Saraci who in turn displays zero screen presence and Ghatge has little to do other than say "ayushman bhava" chewing on every single alphabet. There are some hot scenes to justify the word "passion" in the title but guys will sure be disappointed for not getting enough of the overly well-endowed model Claudia Ciesla, who makes a 10-second appearance. Even the awards the film claims to have bagged at little-known festivals can’t make one overlook the fact that it is nothing more than C-gradejunk.
