A Hotel That Hold's Andhra's Legacy

Joining a growing league of Art Hotels in the world, the Palm Beach Hotel in Visakhapatnam, recently opened up its heritage wing, the Andhra Arts & Crafts Hotel. A sister concern of Le Sutra, Mumbai, this is their third project that focusses on the craftsmanship of Andhra Pradesh. Deemed as the world’s first handicrafts hotel, the new wing is called ‘Microcosm of Andhra’ and has around 50 art installations and 70 sculptures, designed by award-winning artists and craftsmen of the state. It pushes forth the legacy of Andhra by introducing 24 boutique rooms decorated in themes of leather shadow puppetry, Budithi brass work, and Etikoppaka toys.
