The Frisky Frescoes of LA

There’s something about California that attracts and nurtures creativity, straddling the spectrum from art to technology, and everything in between. Among other things, they are mad about murals, many in Downtown Los Angeles, an area the city is trying to revitalise, with some success. A lot of the wall art is concentrated in the Arts District, a neighbourhood on the eastern edge of Downtown LA, consisting of industrial buildings from the early-20th century. There’s a nice concentration in bohemian Venice Beach and even touristy Hollywood.
