After land and air, Uber has now made its debut underwater

The Great Barrier Reef is an underwater haven. The area has more than 1,600 species of fish and 600 different types of coral. On May 22, the Queensland Government announced the launch of scUber. The users are allowed to book the submarine trip from the Uber application from May 27, 2019 from Gladstone, or Cairns from June 9, 2019 till June 18, 2019.

This trip is not only for divers but is also for non-divers who want to experience the hidden treasures. Barry is a Stingray SR500-1 that Uber is borrowing from the Aquatica Submarines&nbspalong with their crew members. The driver, unlike any other Uber trips, would be rated on the hour long journey that would begin in select Queensland cities. All riders have to do is put their destination address as the Great Barrier Reef. After which an Uber operator will call to confirm that they didn&rsquot order the unusual ride by mistake and to also find out the weight of the passengers as the Barry seats only two.

A rideshare will set you back by $3,000 AUD. A booking includes round-trip transfers in a Tesla a scenic helicopter ride to and from Heron Island or the Quicksilver Cruises pontoon and and an hour-long ride in the scUber submarine.

Uber submarine is donating $100,00 AUD  to the 'citizens of the Great Barrier Reef' in addition to an equivalent value of every ride to support the organisation's conversation initiatives.

In case you weren't aware, this isn&rsquot Uber&rsquos first foray outside the travel trails. It launched UberCopter chopper in 2015 to transfer passengers between Nice and Cannes. They also have UberBoat.

So, what&rsquos next Uber UberSpace
